Providence FGBMFI DECEMBER LUNCHEON

Date: Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Place: Radisson Hotel, 220 India Street, Providence

Our speaker this month is Lee Duckworth. His wife Karen and his four sons all love the Lord Jesus. He is very active in his church. He surrendered his life to Jesus in a Full Gospel Meeting over fifteen years ago. It dramatically changed his life style as he began to study God's Word and learn about becoming a follower of Jesus. He is in the financial services business and is helping people plan for their future here on earth. His heart is to help people in his church learn from the Bible the truth that sets people free and to know that the God who reached out and saved them will keep them, guide them and direct their steps when they seek God's will for their life.

Prayerfully ask someone to come to the luncheon with you. The Lord  wants us to make disciples, even as we are light and salt.

Please respond via email or call Jim Buford 401.821.8750 and visit  www.fgbmfi-ri.org for more information about our chapter and coming events.

P.S: This is a wonderful time to meet with other people that are on a journey to heaven to see Jesus Christ.

Martin currently lives in Westminster, Mass. with his wife, Ingrid.  He has two grown children, Deborah and Timothy.  In the winter of 1976, he read the book by Demos Shakarian "The Greatest People on Earth". While reading and praying, he received a definite call from God to start an FGBMFI chapter in the north central part of Massachusetts.  He was president of this Chapter #3 for a mber of years where he experienced the power of the Holy Spirit challenging many men and women to follow Jesus Christ.

Martin has been a Director of Music in the Assembly of God church.  He has ministered through piano music for over 55 years in several churches in the area.  He currently plays the piano at the Worcester Assembly of God and also ministers at the Worcester House of Correction by playing and preaching the Word.  He is past president of the Association for Facility Engineering (AFE) in Worcester.  Martin was also National Director of Massachusetts for several years.  He is currently employed as an electrical engineering consultant at Merrimac Industrial Sales in Haverhill, Mass.  His contribution to the body of Christ has been one of dedication and faithfulness over the many years.  His testimony includes healing of an acute disease in his body.  The healing of his wife, in a dramatic and crucial event which could only be attributed to God's sovereign power, was a sustained and enduring experience.

FGBMFI Providence Luncheon October 14th

                             FULL GOSPEL BUSINESS MEN's FELLOWSHIP

                                            Wednesday, October 14, 2009
                                                     12:00  -  1:00pm

Radisson Hotel, 220 India St, Providence, R.I.

Our speaker this month is Kwame Asante.  He was born and raised in Ghana, North Africa. He graduated from college in Ghana with a Master Degree in Geography and a Masters in Education.  He came to the USA to further his education at URI.  He retired from a
manufacturing company a few years ago; and is currently teaching at a Christian School.

He had an encounter with Jesus Christ by the Holy Ghost over thirty years ago.  We often talk about the wonderful change that Christ brought into our life.  He will share with us some of the struggles He has been thru.  How  "real"  Jesus is to him. He has been thru the fire.   He spends much of his life in the Word of God and prayer.  He knows Jesus by the Holy Spirit.

Some times it is good to sit quietly before the Lord Jesus and mediate about the cross and the price He paid for me;   what He went thru before the cross, on the cross; and then the resurrection.  New life abiding in Him.  What was he feeling and thinking?

This is not about going to Church, reading your Bible and doing ministry; This is about a relationship in the Spirit.  Our choice each day.

John  13:34  "A new commandment  I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
John  13:35   "By this all will know that you are My disciples,  if you have love for one another."

Please respond via email   or   call   Jim Buford   401-821-8750

Please be in prayer not only about the meeting, also consider how the apostle Paul prayed for people.

Full Gospel Businessmens Fellowship Breakfast

FGBMFI Fellowship Breakfast, September 12, 2009, American Legion Hall, 17 Dunn Street, Westbrook, Me. 8:30 AM

Guest Speaker

DAVID FRIEDLANDER

David Friedlander is a Messianic Jew who came to know his Messiah 30 years ago. David was born and raised in the New York City area and attended private Orthodox Jewish schools there throughout his teenage years. He learned the Jewish Talmud, the Torah, and studied many other scholarly works written by the Jewish sages through the centuries. As a young Orthodox Jewish man raised under the Law, he searched for answers to answer the question: "How does practicing the Law bring me closer to God?"

1979, his search ended with the Perfect Answer. He met his Messiah in a most unusual way. That answer immediately prompted many additional questions, mostly revolving around: "What do I do with the Law I have been taught?" "Did God make a mistake?" It made his head spin!

In the thirty years since then, David, and his wife Patti, raised their four children. They have lived in Colorado, Texas, Vermont, Israel and now, Maine. As Messianic believers, David and his family hold dual US/Israeli citizenship.

David attends Royal Ridge Church of God in Scarborough where he recently completed his two-year term as Council Member. David has led many Bible studies since coming to Maine in 1995 .

Guest Speaker

RON CASTRIANO

Pastor Ron Castriano and his wife Deneen were called into fulltime ministry in 1980 as ministers of worship for the Braintree, MA chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship. Prior to that they had been an entertaining duo known professionally as August & Deneen. Their ABC Paramont recording "We Go Together" (recorded shortly before their marriage in 1968) is still a treasured commodity among a partisan group of music lovers known as Northern Soul where copies are now purchased for ten times their original price.

Deneen was born again in Las Vegas in June of 1974 while they were living and performing there. Ron followed shortly after when they moved back to New England.

Since then God has used Ron & Deneen in many areas and venues. They are currently pastoring their own church, the Saints for Service / Christian Training Center in Raynham, MA a work that focuses on equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.

Come and join us and hear how God transformed another life into an instrument for His glory.

Guest Speaker

KEVIN DODGE

Kevin Dodge grew up in Boston in the 1950' and 60's in a dysfunctional family. This led to his leaving home early and embracing a life of crime. Like all criminals Kevin started with small petty crimes, but soon graduated to bigger crimes and the introduction into a much higher bracket of professional criminals.

Kevin was sentenced to serving two life sentences in prison. The judges stated that he was "beyond redemption". But they did not reckon on the power of God to change lives. He was not even eligible for parole until 2063! While in prison, Kevin heard a message about God's love and forgiveness and received the Lord in 1980 while watching the 700 Club. In 2005, the hand of God opened the gates of prison and Kevin Dodge walked out a free man.

Kevin is now deeply involved in spreading the message of God's love and grace. You will be amazed and challenged by his powerful testimony. Bring a friend and come enjoy a delicious breakfast and good fellowship.
