Here is the obituary for Reggie Peters from Buxont, Maine

Reginald Allen Peters, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on June 12, 2011.  He was born on April 26, 1930, in Lincoln, Maine, the youngest son of John O’Dell and Nellie Alta Peters. His mother died just a year later, and he was taken to Canada to live with his paternal grandparents and his aunts, who raised him.

Educated in the New Brunswick schools, he came to Maine in 1948, where he has lived most of his adult life. He graduated from the University of Maine with a BS degree in Business Administration. He worked for many years for the Arnold Machinery Company, the State of Maine Caterpillar Tractor Dealership. His final position in that company was that of Controller.

He retired from the company in 1980, and has busied himself with working for Non-Profit Organizations - The Maine Christian Civic League, Womans Christian Temperance Union, and the Full Gospel Business Mens Fellowship International. He has been Chapter President of the local FGBMFI Chapter for many years, and has served as Coordinator, Treasurer and Registrar for their annual Advances and Conventions.

In addition to his work for non-profit organizations, he has been active for many years in local churches, serving as Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent, Clerk, Pianist, and Youth Leader.   He was presently attending the Church of God in Windham.

His wife and companion for over 43 years, Barbara, passed away in 2006. They had lived for many years in Buxton, Maine, where Reg enjoyed gardening, etc. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Peters, of Auburn, Maine and several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many loyal friends, including Brett and Linda Hall of Dayton and John H. Folsom II of Alfred.

Visiting hours will be on Monday, June 20, from 6-8 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd.) in Buxton (Bar Mills). 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 21 at 10 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook. www.dcpate.com Following the burial, everyone is invited to attend a reception at the Church of God, Rt. 302 in Windham.
