FGBMFI Update from Larry D

UPDATE ABOUT PROVIDENCE JANUARY MEETING

No breakfast in Warwick, RI on January 1st in hopes that men can make the commitment to go to the Advance.

Carlin Nash and Dan Mariano will be the speakers. These are two men who have paid the price and have walked in the Spirit for many years. I believe it will be our last chance to hear these two men of God share the walk in the Holy Ghost.

We will all need their experiences to meet the pressing forces of darkness we are about to face in this country in the coming years ahead.

Lake Morey Scholarships

For several years Lake Morey has been able to award some $ 50.00 scholarships to assist men to come to the Advance. This year is especially vulnerable, with the state of the economy. We have set up about a dozen scholarships, and they are presently all used. Just wondering if any chapters or individuals might be able to help sponsor one or more scholarships.  If so, let me and/or Tom Travers know. In any case please pray for a powerful anointing of the Holy Ghost as we meet there in Fairlee.

Blessings and hope to be able to go & see you there

FGBMFI DECEMBER 8th LUNCHEON

Date: Wednesday, December 8, 2010
Time: 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Place: Radisson Hotel, 220 India Street, Providence

Our speaker this month is Ray Farnum. He and his wife Joan are in the ministry of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ where ever they have an opportunity. He took an early retirement from his secular job some years ago and as he prayed, the Lord lead him by the Holy Spirit to share the Good News of Salvation thru Jesus Christ at the Providence Rescue Mission, at churches, and at a Bible club in a public school. He teaches and shares by his life how we all can answer the call of God in our lives to bring the Good News that we have experienced into our work place, our neighborhood and family by a life of prayer and a life for Christ. He will also share what it means for him to live for Christ.

As we consider, we are called into a fellowship with Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior to praise and worship Him; also to be a witness to those around us by the leading and power of the Holy Spirit.

After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Luke 10:1

Then He said to them," The harvest truly is great, but the labors are few;  therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into His harvest." Luke 10:2

"Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves."
Luke10:3

I believe He calls us to follow Him and to be transform and inpowered by His Holy Spirit as His disciples to be a witness for Him. He has you and I just where He wants us for His purpose.
Please prayerfully ask a friend or a coworker to come with you as a guest to hear the Good News.

Please respond via email or call Jim Buford 401-821-8750 and visit  www.fgbmfi-ri.org for
more information about our chapter and coming events.

Full Gospel Greater Portland Maine Chapter Breakfast Cancellation

SPECIAL NOTICE!

There will be no December meeting for the Portland Chapter. Several members of the chapter and their families are experiencing severe health issues, and we feel that it would be wise to cancel and reschedule meetings at later date.

Please get in touch with us for information about meetings in 2011. The Lake Morey Mens Advance is still scheduled and we hope that many of the men can join us there for a great time of fellowship and blessing.

Prayer for the following people would be greatly appreciated: Reginald A. Peters, recovering from cancer surgery; Anne Coughlan, undergoing chemotherapy. Also, pray for God's guidance and wisdom for the Chapter in the months ahead.

Have a blessed, happy, safe and prosperous Holiday Season and New Year

In Christ's Wonderful Name!

Blessings to all of you, and have a blessed Christmas season
