Guest Speaker
DON COONS

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou shouldst lead me on; I loved to choose and see my path; but now lead Thou me on! These lines from the grand old Hymn, Lead Kindly Light, illustrate the life of our Guest Speaker, Don Coons, of Charlestown, New Hampshire.

Don was raised in strict, military type home and sought release in a "free" life style. But, one day he had an ARRESTING EXPERIENCE, when he encountered the Judge of the whole earth. He received a full Pardon, and a new commission to represent the Lord of life. Things changed in rapid succession and he watched and experienced God opening doors and showing him the way through the next 25 years of law enforcement.

He had already focused on being a policeman, following the example of his older brother. He graduated from 3 different police academies and settled in a rural New Hampshire county. He worked in the Charlestown Police Department for 3 years. Some of his duties included road patrol in small towns that didn't have a police department and transportation of prisoners throughout the State of New Hampshire. He retired in 2006 as a Lieutenant from the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. Presently he is working part-time for the Dept. of Corrections.

Invite a Friend to enjoy a delicious meal and the hear our guest speaker share some exciting things from his life.
